On the afternoon of September 12^th, the junior department’s teaching and research group meeting, hosted by Mr. Huang Xiaobo, deputy head of junior department, was held in Luxehills Lecture Hall. The attendees included Headmaster Mr. Xiao, Vice Headmaster Mrs. Zeng and head of junior department Mr. Wu.

The meeting began with the speech of Mr. Jiang who is the group leader of Grade 2 lesson preparation and of the representative of all English teachers---Mrs. Yang Jing. He exchanged experience in narrowing the gap among classes, with clear aims, practical steps and team spirit of the group teachers. Mrs. Yang is a unique English teacher with 35 years of English teaching and class work experience. She especially specializes in class management and active English classroom. Her speech, elaborated from nine aspects, has inspired all the English teachers.

Then Mr. Xiao elaborated on the education theory of “exemplary foreign languages school”. He urged our teachers to bridge the gap and improve professional skills, while acknowledging the hard work and success of all the English teachers in the junior department.

The meeting ended with the work summary of the three grades in junior department by Mr. Huang. He also pointed out the urgent problems needing to be solved at the moment.
